Pre-incubation
digital or in the metaverse

The Pole in Málaga offers two incubation programs for emerging projects or ideas in the Media & Entertainment sector and in Virtual Reality and the metaverse.

GO2Work:
Specific pre-incubation for
video games and digital content

This pre-incubation model focuses on the video game and entertainment industry and is developed under the Go2Work program at The Pole, the result of a collaboration between EOI (School of Industrial Organization) and Málaga City Council, co-financed by the European Social Fund.

The foundations of this business development program are:

Lean Startup methodology with a specialist mentor to help launch the project.
Specialized advice for each project.
Coworking space available during the pre-incubation program.
Workshops, seminars and events, including the final Demo Day to showcase the initiatives.

Lean Startup Methodology

From the start, each project has a dedicated mentor to guide its development.

Specialist Mentors

Additionally, each project receives tailored guidance specific to its idea.

Coworking Space

Throughout the pre-incubation program, participants have access to a dedicated workspace at The Pole.

Workshops and Seminars

The program includes training capsules on general topics, as well as events such as the final Demo Day to present the initiatives.

Over nearly six months, participating projects (around twenty per edition) receive the training and guidance needed to turn their ideas into a minimum viable product, market-ready and competitive.

The program is specially tailored to the video game, audiovisual production and extended reality industries in Málaga, and is the only one of its kind at the national level.

Any entrepreneur residing in Spain can apply, regardless of the stage of their project, provided they are not employed full-time by another company.

IAT Metaverse
High-tech incubator
in the metaverse

In 2023, The Pole in Málaga will launch the first High Technology Incubator (IAT) for the Metaverse in Europe.

The goal is to create an advanced research center where companies, universities and entrepreneurs can explore upcoming trends and technologies that will shape the Metaverse and its associated fields.

This includes transversal technologies like 6G, Supercomputing, Virtual Reality, Blockchain, and more.

The Metaverse IAT is an initiative by Fundación Incyde and Málaga City Council, through The Pole, co-financed by FEDER funds.

This project is co-financed 80%-20% through Spain’s Pluriregional Operational Program. FEDER 2014–2020. The High Technology Incubators project falls under Axis 3 Improving SME Competitiveness, Thematic Objective 3 Enhancing competitiveness of SMEs, and Investment Priority 3a Promoting entrepreneurship, particularly by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and supporting the creation of new businesses, including through business incubators.
