The Malaga City Council, through the National Digital Content Pole, organizes the 'Ideatón Agrotech', an open innovation event focused on addressing the challenges of the agricultural sector.

The 'Ideatón Agrotech' is configured as a catalyst for the modernization and optimization of agriculture, a fundamental sector that represents a crucial economic pillar at a global level, and as a platform for collaboration and innovation.

The event brings together industry leaders and entrepreneurs to discuss and conceptualize innovative solutions around four themes: Drought, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emissions. The format includes four round tables with participants from innovative companies and startups.

The program includes networking allowing attendees to connect on a professional level and explore new ideas and collaboration opportunities. This approach not only seeks to accelerate innovation and reduce costs, but also facilitate access to new markets and efficient responses to current challenges.

In this sense, it has the participation of professionals from the agri-food industry, experts in the ecosystem agrotech as Rafael Casielles, project manager at BIOAZUL; Mayte Montes, head of business at Agrow Analytics; and Agustín Ramírez García, founder and CEO of Aganova.

In addition, Natascha Wahlberg Macías, co-founder of Social Climate; Rafael Espinosa de los Monteros, CEO at Andromeda R&D; Paula Ruiz, director of R&D at TROPS; Angel Gonzalez of Unknown Gravity; Antonio Manuel Adrián from Tupl; Jesús Regodón from Plataforma Tierra; and Joaquín Soriano from Ikos Tech.

The day is part of the DIH Agrotech project in which the National Digital Content Pole participates. This is an initiative aimed at the digital transformation of the agri-food sector in Andalusia, supporting the integration of advanced technologies such as AI and blockchain in the agriculture.

Within this project, the Pole has a budget of 91.344,79 euros to carry out actions within the 2023-2025 framework aimed at providing resources for innovation in agri-food companies with the aim of accompanying them and accelerating their digital transformation. The program is co-financed 50% by the European Commission through the Digital Europe program and the other 50% by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía

The 'Ideatón' is the third event organized by the Polo within the DIH Agrotech project, which in 2023 already held a Hackathon at the Tabacalera facilities, and the conference "Technological Challenges in the Agricultural Environment" together with the La Noria social innovation center of the Provincial Council of Malaga. Precisely next to La Noria, the National Digital Content Pole organizes the event “Digital Transformation in the Agricultural Sector” on May 23.
