Students of the Specialization Course develop a video game about Benarrabá in a pioneering collaboration

The students of the Specialization Course in Video Game Development and Virtual Reality of the IES Campanillas, which is taught at the National Center for Digital Content in Malaga, will travel to Benarrabá for three days to develop a video game that will have the municipality as a stage and will serve to give it to know.

This pioneering initiative arises from the collaboration between the IES Campanillas, the Digital Content Center and the Benarrabá City Council, which has recently created a Center for Social and Digital Innovation in collaboration with the Center.

What was planned as a class project has become a real simulation for the students of a video game studio, where each member has a profile and a function, as well as an assigned profession: art leader, marketing director, director technician, script writer, programmer, special effects designer, executive producer, QA director, etc.

On April 6, 7 and 8, a total of 15 students will meet in Benarrabá to finish the beta version of this video game that they started in class a few weeks earlier, developing the 3D models of the most emblematic spaces of the town and the design Of the characters.

These conferences will also serve for students from institutes in the region to come and learn first-hand from the students of the Specialization Course how a video game is developed, as well as for the inhabitants of Benarrabá to try the video game.

The first playable version will be available to the public on the Itch.io platform.
